This show is a dream come true for these Gold Country sisters in song. We are friends who love to sing and play together and support one another’s musical adventures. We have each selected our favorite and most meaningful songs to collaborate on that are expressions of six lifetimes immersed in music to share in joy with each other and with our audience. The "Sister Songbirds" will perform a wide variety of musical styles including covers and originals. They will make you laugh (and maybe cry) and stomp your feet and clap your hands and sing along!
Proceeds will benefit Images of Hope, a local non-profit dedicated to the mental and physical well-being of those who have experienced trauma.
Lorna Troy
Lorna has been singing along to vocal forward music for as long as she can remember. Over the past 40 years she has performed in community choirs, musical theater, and small vocal ensembles. She has found her musical home and family here in these foothills, regularly collaborating with other local musicians and performing with The Audities for the past 9 years.
Lucy D’Mot
After gigging off and on for 40 years in classical, pop, jazz and theatre, Lucy now prefers just to play with friends, for charity and/or church. Vocal harmonies are her favorite part of music and those will be ample with this group!
Sandi McCrossin
A singer and songwriter for as long as she can remember. Then 10 years ago Sandi McCrossin met an amazing group of kindred spirits. Through musical projects or recordings or supporting each other at gigs, (yes, that's Us behind the menu's singing harmony). Always time for a good laugh...there just might be a song in there.
Deb Smith
Deb’s music experiences have ranged from bluegrass through traditional country, blues, jazz and funk, to distill down to a mix of all the above. Authentically delivered vocals and strong guitar skills are her hallmarks, along with a good dose of humor.
Sheri Hoeger
Sheri is grateful to have woven music and visual arts into a sustainable creative lifestyle. With a strong background in Bluegrass and Americana music, Sheri enjoys singing and keeping the low end solid on bass with several local ensembles.
Karen Greenhaw
Karen has been fiddling for decades throughout the foothills with several ensembles, and is also known for her sweet singing voice.
