A message from Founder, Ambassador, and Host Jennifer Teie:
Calling all Club Members, Community Members, Investors, Artists, Musicians, Lovers & Supporters of The Green Room Social Club! Join the Club!
GRSC is currently an independently owned all ages live performance and event venue. Our venue is a partner to local and touring artists, non profit organizations, along with supporting local art, theater, and music programs.
GRSC is looking to our community to determine the future of the Club and to act as stewards for the physical building and the mission.
Join in the discussions on how we as a community can come together to pool financial resources, experience, expertise, and/or talent to financially shield from rising interest, protect from the ever changing political climate, and grow GRSC.
Specifically, what does that mean? In order to remain in the building and continue operations as we now know it, we need to raise the money to pay off the balloon on the mortgage. With just 15 people investing $60,000 we can meet that goal!! 10 like minded friends with $90,000? Done! Through community investment, involvement, and engagement, GRSC can survive and thrive. There are many ways to run a "business" - The Green Room Social Club is a community space, built by and for musicians to offer a stage and high end quality experience for guests and artists alike. GRSC is event and calendar driven, tickets, box office, sound technician, and professional sound and lighting equipment are all required for our existence and licensing. Our usage, zoning, and licensing is under Entertainment venue - we are NOT just a bar or a restaurant.
On top of the most immediate need, repairs and maintenance are needed to the building to avoid further long term damage. With the initial raise, we can accomplish phase 1 of paying off the mortgage and making necessary repairs.
The Green Room Social Club Presents quality live music, performances, and events in historic Downtown Placerville and operates as a not for profit and managed by unpaid Ambassadors Jennifer Teie and Doug Neal. The Teie Family is the original financial investors to purchase, renovate, furnish the building, and continuing investments to ensure the mission is accomplished. These original investors are willing to stay the course and continue to support the endeavors should we meet our goal to reposition the mortgage debt into a community driven investment group. With every real estate deal, the terms are negotiable! Let's figure out how to make this work together.
How did we get here? Creative financing, some hard earned cash, a plethora of credit and debt, and countless hours given unpaid by multiple Ambassadors. We feel GRSC is worth saving and welcome supporters of live arts and entertainment to join us at the table for the tough conversation of where and how to move ahead from here.
GRSC is an intimate venue with a stage designed by and for professionals including engineered acoustics, lighting, and video. Each event is a unique and professional production; including weekly Open Mic, Karaoke nights, Theatre, Youth Group events, Non profit fundraising and awareness events, and so much more!
Should we not meet our primary goal and are required to shutter the stage and close the doors, funds donated through our GoFundMe and tax deductible donations made through Arts & Culture El Dorado will be put towards paying Artists, A/V/Lighting Technicians, and other expenses directly related to live arts and artists; including sponsoring upcoming events in Downtown Placerville as a member of Merchants on Main a 501c6 organization organized to support merchants and businesses in Downtown Placerville.
